Privacy policy
Summary
HairStyle Try On lets you try hairstyles and hair colors on your own photo. We don't show ads, we don't track you across apps or websites, and we don't sell your data. Your photo is processed only to create the try-on or face analysis you ask for.
What we collect
• Photos: the photo you take or pick from your library, and the inspiration photos you add. • Profile answers: your name (optional), goals, hair type, hair length and face shape. • Account details (only if you sign in): your e-mail address; with Apple or Google, the name and e-mail they share (including Apple's private relay address). • Purchase details: your subscription status and a random app user id. We never see your payment details; Apple or Google takes the payment. • Usage information: which screens you open and which actions you take, device model, operating system and app version, language and country, crash reports. These are kept with a random device ID; photos, names, e-mail addresses and the text you type are never added to them.
How your photos are processed
When you start a try-on or a face analysis, with your explicit consent your photo is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and from there to our AI infrastructure provider, fal.ai (Features & Labels, Inc.). Your photo is not stored on our server; it is discarded from memory after processing. With every request we instruct fal.ai not to store your photo or the result beyond the processing and to remove temporary files within minutes; under its data processing agreement fal.ai processes your data only to provide this service and does not sell it. The resulting image is saved on your phone. If you are signed in, a copy of your photos and results is also saved to your account (see the next section).
Where your data is stored
If you use the app without signing in, your photos, try-ons and profile answers stay only on your phone. If you sign in, so you can see them on another phone, your profile answers, your list of try-ons, your photo and result images are stored with your account on our own server, in a private space only you can access. Your account, sign-in and this stored data are kept on our server in Türkiye (Istanbul), hosted at the data center of VeriUp Bulut İnternet Hizmetleri A.Ş.
Our service providers
• fal.ai (Features & Labels, Inc.): AI image generation and face analysis. • VeriUp Bulut İnternet Hizmetleri A.Ş.: hosting of our server in Istanbul, Türkiye (account, sign-in and storage). • RevenueCat: subscription verification. • Google Firebase: app usage statistics and crash reports (no photos or personal content are sent). • Apple and Google: sign-in (optional) and payments. These providers process your data only to provide their service to us.
Retention and deletion
Data on your phone stays until you delete it: Profile → Delete my data removes every photo and try-on on the phone. Data in your account is kept while the account exists: Profile → Delete account permanently removes your account, photos and try-ons from our servers and revokes the Sign in with Apple authorisation. Your subscription is not affected; it is managed in your App Store or Google Play settings.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Turkey's KVKK you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and object to the processing of your data. You can withdraw your consent to AI processing with Profile → Delete my data. Write to us with any request.
Children
The app is not designed for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we update this policy we change its date and announce important changes in the app.
